About ECOTRIB 25

The European Conference on Tribology—ECOTRIB— is a biennial conference organized in collaboration between the Austrian, Italian, Slovenian and Swiss tribology societies.
Previous Ecotrib meetings have taken place in Ljubljana (2007, 2017), Pisa (2009), Vienna (2011, 2019), Turin (2013), Lugano (2015), and Bari (2023).
The 9th Ecotrib meeting will organized by Swiss Tribology in Zurich, Switzerland, in the main building of ETH Zurich.
Topics to be covered in the meeting include:
biotribology and biotribomaterials
coatings and surface engineering
friction, wear and contact mechanisms
green tribology
industrial, automotive and manufacturing case studies
lubrication and lubricants, including solid lubricants
modeling, simulations, and machine learning in tribology
nano and microtribology
tribochemistry

Zurich: Access and Attractions
Zurich is the largest city in Switzerland, served by excellent rail, air, and road links to Europe and beyond. The city, which is compact compared to other major European cities, boasts an extraordinarily efficient public-transportation system and attractions ranging from art galleries and museums through lakeside or old-town strolls, to outstanding restaurants and nightspots. Conference Location
The conference will be held in the main building of ETH Zurich—consistently the highest-ranked university in continental Europe. The conference is easily reached by public transportation from the airport, the main station, and all points of the city.
